About Job: We are looking for an exceptional individual with IT know-how and drive to go above and beyond to make sure that our clients are taken care of… We are building a business based on reputation, so, we will only hire someone who agrees with our mindset and someone has similar goals. This is a fun and rewarding job with the potential to make more money depending on how much responsibility you would be willing to take on.
Days/Hours: You will be able to make your own schedule, but we will need your commitment to be available at least 10 hours per week for us. 7 days a week, between 8am-10pm.

About You: Experienced PC\Mac desktop technician\systems administrator with strong networking experience who will provide desktop, network, and server support to multiple business and residential clients on a contract basis as assigned. Additionally, you should have an outgoing personality, sales experience, and negotiating tactics. Be willing and prepared to sign non-disclosure agreements and RESPECT them. Your personality should reflect the ability to remain confident and calm under duress of pressure and chaos (this is not a regular occurrence, but it is critical to anyone whom you are servicing).
Must Have (You must meet all requirements listed below and have worked for a minimum of two years in a professional capacity with all the technology listed.):
- * Advanced Windows XP/Vista/Win 7 desktop troubleshooting skills — experience in varied business environments including working with AD
- * Configure and troubleshoot both local and network printing
- * Hardware troubleshooting (fans, power supplies, hard drives, memory)
- * Able to configure business class firewalls, routers, basic networks, VPNs
- * Understand and be able to communicate how DNS and DHCP work (IPv4)
- * Strong familiarity with typical business grade DSL and cable modem connectivity issues
- * On-the-spot basic training of end-users on common office applications
- * POP/IMAP/Exchange/GApps email client configuration as well as Exchange client configuration (extensive Outlook knowledge a MUST)
- * Must understand how email servers function and the common causes of communication issues with email clients (you will not be handling an email server, but you must understand the process in order to troubleshoot client issues)
- * Professional experience with Active Directory, creating accounts, assigning permissions, joining PCs to a domain, transferring profiles, etc…
- * Professional experience with Exchange Server and/or Small Business Server
- * Be able to remove viruses, spyware, and adware using common online scans, utilities, and general instructions from sites such as Symantec, ESET, etc.
- * Use Linux live cd’s to run dd, dd_rescue, clonezilla, testdisk or other similar drive imaging software for data recovery/drive cloning
- * Configure backups and do restores with Windows Backup at an expert level
- * Exceptional documentation skills mandatory (we keep accurate documentation of clients’ networks and provide detailed invoices to the clients about work performed — precision and clarity is imperative)
- * Technical hand-holding coupled with excellent people skills — some clients require more tact and guidance from a tech than others.
- * Configure and troubleshoot PDAs (Blackberry, Treo, iPhone, etc.) and their relationship to PC applications as well as online services
Strongly desired:
- * Advanced knowledge of OS X and Apple-brand applications including iPhoto, iDVD, iTunes, and Microsoft Office for Mac
- * Unix/Linux/Apple command line administration experience
- * Windows Server 2003/2008 and/or Home Server – experience with install, configure, maintain on server class hardware with RAID 5 configurations
- * Juniper, SonicWALL, Netgear, or Cisco firewall experience
- * Experience with SSL VPNs
- * Some knowledge of encryption and encryption techniques for hard drives and/or willingness to learn
- * Certs: A+, ACMP, ACTC, ACSA, MCP, MCSE, or MCSA

The successful applicant must demonstrate his/her ability to clearly discuss technical topics with non-technical clients as well as an ability to communicate to his/her supervisor the status of assignments in both written and verbal format in a timely fashion. Must have great desk-side and phone manners, strong technical skills, an attention to detail, impeccable ethics, own transportation, own cell phone (email capable), and a personal need to do the job right.
Must be reliable, have a strong work ethic and a *mature* approach to the job. Must also be a US Citizen with SSN. Technical Certifications are a plus, but emphasis is placed on hands-on experience and good references.
Applicant must have strong comprehension of common small office productivity software (complete MS Office suite from 2000 through 2010/2011 (Mac), some QuickBooks, ACT!, Acrobat Pro) and must be familiar with common network operations. Small office server and network support experience strongly preferred. Consulting experience also strongly preferred.

Travel:
Most clients are on the Westside, but a few are as far as Glendale, Palisades, and SF Valley. Travel time is not included in compensation, however mileage will be compensated at a preset rate. You must be willing to travel to all of our client sites as needed. This is critically important. Candidates living more than 15 miles from West LA will not be considered unless the cover letter indicates a recognition of the travel issues.

Seeking Front Desk \ Repair Technician.
About Job: Computer repair shop looking is looking for a new full-time technician. There is an immediate opening for a computer hardware repair technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy, fast-paced, and challenging environment conveniently located on the west side of Los Angeles near Robertson and the 10 Freeway.
Days/Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Compensation: hourly DOE
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
- Maintain, upgrade, replace and document hardware and software systems.
- Repair and replacement of defective computer components – including soldering.
- Perform system backups and recovery.
- Data recovery services.
- In person, phone, and email customer service.
- Shop organization and inventory maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
About You:
