More than once, I have visited a company or someone’s home and they have remarked at how much more polite I am than other tech-guys. This is often followed by a story such as:
“…This last computer guy that we hired, he was young and he seemed nice at first – but he got such an attitude, not only with me but with John (our CEO), I tried to ask him a question while he was sitting at my desk and he YELLED at me not to interrupt him! I couldn’t believe that, so I asked him to come into the lobby with me and I told him that if he wanted to continue working for us, he would have to adjust his attitude.”
or this one:
“…We hired a guy out of the phone book, but he wasn’t even the guy that came… These other guys would come, and they would sit there all day! Eight hours! The whole time not telling us anything that was going on. When they would leave, sometimes nothing was fixed and they would charge us anyway.”
Many people have the skills and training that are necessary to troubleshoot computer systems – but few have the UNDERSTANDING. We will never leave you in the dark as to what is going on with your computers. Additionally, we promise not to be rude or disrespectful and to remember that we work FOR you – while we work WITH you on whatever the task at hand is.
